Mode of Action :

Ametryn inhibits photosynthesis by interfering with the electron transfer within the chloroplasts of plants. Specifically, it acts by binding to the quinone-binding protein, D-1, which prevents the transfer of electrons during photosynthesis. This disruption leads to the accumulation of toxic levels of ammonia within the plant cells, ultimately causing plant death.
